If you are among those blessed people who have the Magic Aloe vera plant in their own garden, then congratulations! You are just a few steps away from achieving the dream of flawless skin. What you need to do, is just to identify your skin types and skin needs, leave the rest to your Aloe vera plant.

If you already know your skin problems but don’t know how to use Aloe vera to treat them, below are five ways in which you can use Aloe vera to discover its magic in making your skin flawless.

1-ALOE VERA GEL AS PORE MINIMIZER:

Aloe vera gel has the ability to minimize your open pores. For cooling results on summer days, squeeze out the gel from the Aloe plant and refrigerate it in an ice tray. Wash and pat dry your face. Apply the Aloe ice cubes throughout your face. After applying, let the Aloe vera gel simply absorb into your skin.

The cooling sensation of iced Aloe vera will not only help to minimize your open pores but will also help to treat acne and other skin issues such as sun burns.

You can repeat the Aloe icing procedure 3–4 times a week or as per your skin needs.

2- ALOE VERA GEL AS MAKEUP PRIMER:

The pore-minimizing ability of Aloe vera gel makes it an excellent natural, chemical-free makeup primer. No need to worry about your sensitive skin or waste your time and money on expensive chemical-based primers when you can have an organic primer right away in your garden.

Simply squeeze out Aloe gel from the leave, and apply evenly on your face before makeup and see the magic. The aloe gel will act as a soothing primer which will not only repair and protect your skin from makeup effects but will also provide a glossy touch to your final makeup look.

3- ALOE GEL AS NATURAL SKIN MOISTURIZER:

Feeling dry, dull, or flaky skin in summers, winters, and dry weather? Thinking of buying a moisturizer but not sure which one best suits your skin type? Don’t want to use chemical-based moisturizers available in the market? Why not give aloe vera gel a try.

Aloe vera gel has natural soothing and moisturizing properties. It moisturizes and hydrates your skin while repairing other issues of your skin as well. Applying Aloe vera gel after washing your face retains the moisture of your skin. It rejuvenates your skin and helps to provide a youthful glow to your skin which has become dull and dry by the harsh weather.

You can use Aloe vera both as your day cream and night cream and see the results for yourself. For better results, you can add some almond oil or coconut oil to your aloe vera gel to double the moisturizing benefits as per your skin requirement.

4- ALOE VERA AS SKIN-SOOTHING AND HEALING GEL:

Facing an insect bite or minor cuts and have no anti-allergic cream nearby? Simply rub aloe gel on the affected area 2–3 times daily and see the results.

Aloe vera gel has antibacterial and antiseptic properties that calm irritated, cut, or burnt skin. ‘’In his book Natural Health, Natural Medicine (Houghton Mifflin, 1990), Andrew Weil suggests that fresh aloe gel applied directly to the skin provides immediate relief for burns and general skin irritation or inflammation’’.

The Aloe vera gel contains powerful antioxidants which provide soothing and cooling effects to the skin when applied to wounds, sunburns, or insect bites. Aloe vera helps to heal the skin quickly by boosting skin collagen and fighting bacteria.

Applying aloe vera gel after waxing, threading, or shaving your skin soothes the irritated skin; and prevents further redness and skin damage.

5-ALOE VERA GEL AS ACNE FIGHTER:

Aloe vera gel works wonders for acne and acne-prone skin. Applying Aloe vera gel regularly on your acne-prone skin helps cure existing acne and helps to prevent future acne.

To use Aloe vera gel effectively to treat your acne, mix approx. 1 drop of tea tree oil with 4–5 drops of Aloe vera gel, or according to your need. Apply this gel regularly for over a week to your acne-infected area.

This tea tree-Aloe Vera gel helps to dry out the acne and gently heal your skin. It also helps to reduce your acne scars gradually, leaving your skin acne-free and flawless.

CAUTIONS:

Undoubtedly, Aloe vera gel is a natural healer and moisturizer that helps to minimize your skin issues. But, these methods of using Aloe vera gel are self-tested, not scientifically researched, and approved.

Using these Aloe remedies without knowing your actual skin issue might not be that effective in treating your skin concerns. So, in case of having sensitive skin or a severe skin issue: don’t forget to consult your dermatologist before using any of these Aloe vera remedies. However, it happens rarely; discontinue use if you feel itching or irritation after using Aloe vera gel.

If you don’t feel any allergic reaction and don’t have a serious skin concern either, then you are good to use Aloe vera in your skincare routine and see your skin becoming gradually flawless.
